Editorial Policy

This policy explains who is accountable for Netest.in content and the standards applied before and after publication.

Owner: Rudy   Effective: October 28, 2026   Last updated: October 28, 2026

Editorial responsibility

writes and technically reviews Netest.in articles. Every article is reviewed by Rudy before publication. He is responsible for checking whether the article is understandable, technically supportable, appropriately sourced, and clear about its limitations.

Rudy is a CCNA- and CCNP-certified network engineer based in New Delhi, India, with more than 12 years of networking experience. He works full-time as a Tech Lead at a multinational company; his employer is intentionally not identified on Netest.in.

Technical review schedule

  • Technical articles are reviewed at least once every 12 months.
  • Security and certification articles are also reviewed when material changes occur, including important vendor guidance, software behavior, exam objectives, vulnerabilities, or standards.
  • A visible reviewed or modified date is changed only after a substantive review or material correction, not for spelling or formatting changes alone.
  • Content that cannot be verified or brought up to date may be revised, labelled, consolidated, noindexed, redirected, or removed.

Technical evidence and sources

Articles should distinguish stable protocol behavior from vendor-, platform-, software-, and release-specific behavior. Where relevant, the article identifies the lab platform, device model, software version, configuration, verification commands, output, introduced failure, diagnosis, and correction.

Primary sources such as vendor documentation, RFCs, standards, and official certification objectives are preferred. Lab output is described as representative until it has been captured from the stated environment. Netest.in does not present generated or reconstructed output as a first-hand runtime capture.

AI-assisted work

AI tools may assist with editing, outlining, or research. AI output is not published without human review. Rudy verifies technical claims, configurations, command behavior, and references before publication and remains accountable for the final article.

Editorial independence, advertising, and sponsorships

Advertising does not influence technical conclusions, product assessments, troubleshooting recommendations, or the subjects selected for correction. Publisher content, interactive tools, and advertisements are presented as separate elements.

If Netest.in ever accepts sponsored content, the page will clearly disclose that sponsorship near the beginning of the content. A sponsor will not receive an undisclosed favorable conclusion, and paid placement will not be represented as an independent technical recommendation.

Vendor and certification independence

Netest.in is an independent educational publication and is not affiliated with Cisco or another vendor unless a page explicitly states otherwise. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners. Certification content is educational and must not reproduce confidential exam questions or claim that unofficial guidance replaces current vendor objectives.

Corrections and reader feedback

Readers can report a possible error through [email protected]. Reports are evaluated under the Corrections Policy. Material corrections update the article's reviewed or modified date.
